FIRE isn't one single plan — it's a spectrum, and this track will map the whole thing out. 🔥

FIRE stands for Financial Independence, Retire Early: the idea of saving and investing aggressively enough to reach financial independence, meaning your assets can cover your expenses, well before a traditional retirement age. It's less a single rigid plan and more a spectrum of approaches, all built on the same core levers from the first lesson: save more, need less, or both.

People pursuing FIRE often describe it in flavors: some aim for a lean, low-expense lifestyle to reach independence as fast as possible, others save aggressively while keeping a more comfortable lifestyle and reaching the goal a bit later, and others blend part-time work with partial financial independence rather than stopping work entirely. This track goes deeper into these flavors in Level 5.

You don't have to go extreme to benefit from FIRE thinking — that's the honest, balanced version this track takes. ⚖️

It's worth being upfront: pursuing FIRE aggressively involves real trade-offs, which Level 5 covers honestly rather than just cheerleading. But you don't need to adopt an extreme version of it to benefit from its core insight — that savings rate, not just income, is one of the biggest levers for how quickly financial independence arrives, whatever age you're aiming for.
