Same marketplace, two very different games. Worth being honest about which one you're actually playing. 🎯

Investing means buying shares of companies you believe in and holding them for years or decades, letting the business grow and compound in value over time — the approach covered in the Investing Fundamentals track. Trading means buying and selling more actively, often within days, hours, or even minutes, trying to profit from short-term price movements instead of a company's long-term growth.

Both use the exact same marketplace and the exact same mechanics — orders, tickers, exchanges — which is what this track teaches. But they demand very different things from the person doing them. Investing mostly rewards patience and consistency. Trading demands constant attention, quick decisions, and a much higher tolerance for being wrong, since prices can move against you in seconds.

This isn't a warning to scare you off — it's just honest framing before we go further. 🧭

It's worth being upfront about this early: research consistently shows most active traders underperform a simple long-term investing approach, once trading costs and mistakes are factored in. That doesn't mean learning how trading actually works is a waste — understanding order types, charts, and market mechanics makes you a sharper investor too, even if you never place a single short-term trade.
