It's Not About Being Interesting

There's a common assumption that good relationships come down to being interesting — having good stories, being funny, knowing a lot. It helps, sometimes. But it's not actually the thing doing most of the work.
What tends to matter more is genuine attention: actually being curious about the other person, remembering what they told you last time, asking about it later. Someone who talks less but listens well is usually more memorable, and more liked, than someone who dominates a conversation with great material.
That's genuinely good news: being more interesting is a vague, hard target. Paying real attention to someone is a specific, learnable skill — and it's what most of this track is actually about, more than any script or line.
