Where to Actually Start · Lesson 3 of 9

The Shape of This Track

A free lesson from Swipe Personal Growth · Purpose & Direction, level 1 · updated October 2026

By the Swipe team, founded by Colin · how we make lessons

Here's the roadmap. Levels 2 and 3 cover where to actually look: noticing what you lose track of time doing, and naming your actual values instead of the ones you've just inherited from other people's expectations.

Levels 4 and 5 turn those clues into direction: separating a purpose from a job title — one purpose can inform many different paths — and why small experiments you can actually try beat years of just thinking about it.

L2-L3: Where to look -> noticing what pulls your attention, naming your actual values
L4-L5: Turning it into direction -> purpose vs. job title, small experiments over big decisions
L6-L7: Tools for thinking it through -> journaling as thinking on paper, talking to people already doing it
L8-L9: Staying honest about it -> a quiet stretch isn't the same as being lost, revisiting instead of locking in
L10: Capstone -> the whole arc tied together
The full arc of this track, level by level.

Levels 6 through 9 round it out: using journaling to actually think instead of just circling the same thoughts, learning from people already doing something that interests you, telling the difference between a genuinely quiet stretch and actually feeling lost, and treating your answer as something you revisit rather than lock in once.

Level 10 ties the whole arc together. This is also the eighth and final track currently built into this app, so its capstone closes out not just this track's own arc, but the full set — without needing anything beyond it to feel complete.
