Where to Actually Start Looking
A free lesson from Swipe Personal Growth · Purpose & Direction, level 1 · updated October 2026
By the Swipe team, founded by Colin · how we make lessons
If purpose isn't one big realization, where do you actually look? Two places, mostly: what you pay attention to without being told to, and what actually matters to you once you strip away what you feel like you're "supposed" to want.
The next two levels dig into exactly those two places: noticing the moments where you lose track of time because you're absorbed in something, and naming your actual values instead of the ones you've just absorbed from other people.
One honest caveat before you start: this isn't about landing on the "right" answer this week. It's a slow accumulation of evidence about yourself, and it's normal — expected, even — to revisit and adjust it later rather than lock it in now.
According to this lesson, what are the two main places to actually look for clues about purpose?
This lesson calls the process a slow accumulation of ____ about yourself, not a one-time answer.
This lesson says you should expect to land on a final, permanent answer this week and never revisit it.
